ICT Skills Council has established an online platform for collaboration and believes that the national competency development is a collaborative effort by multiple stakeholders. Council is keen to have all the stake holders to work towards identified national goals so that there is no duplication of effort by different parties. Council will link up industry, industry bodies, government bodies, Government Training Arms, Private training arms, Academia and the work force under defined set of national goals.
SLASSCOM is a founder member of the Council and has Board level representation in the current council.

FITIS is the voice of the Sri Lankan Information and Communication Technologies “ICT” industries which is comprise of companies and ICT professionals representing Software, Hardware, Education and Training, Communication services and Professional service segments of Sri Lankan ICT industries.

BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT (Sri Lanka Section) was established in 1996 and has over 2000 corporate members (MBCS) and approximately 2500 student members. Over 300 members are Chartered Information Technology Practitioners (CITP) and over 25 Fellow Members (FBCS).
The Parent body ‘BCS’ is the industry body for IT professionals and a Chartered Engineering Institution for Information Technology (IT). With members in over 100 countries around the world, BCS is the leading professional and learned Society in the field of computers and information systems.

The Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) is a group of dedicated professionals including the three leading Computer Firms for the purpose of promoting Information and Communication Technology and professionalism among those engaged in the field of Information and Communication Technology, and of maintaining the highest professional standards among the Information and Communication Technology fraternity.
The primary objectives of the society are to promote and develop the science of Information Technology and foster and maintain investigations and research into the best means and methods of developing and applying such science and to encourage, increase, disseminate and promote knowledge, education and training and the exchange of information and ideas in respect of all questions relating thereto or connected therewith. Moreover, Computer Society is providing an Organization for professionals in Information Technology and by means of examinations and other methods of assessment to test the skills and knowledge of persons desiring to enter the profession.
ICT Skills Council is sponsored by Sector Skills Development Program conducted with the collaboration of Ministry of Skills Development and Vocational Training, World Bank and Asian Development Bank.
Council Membership comprise of companies and individuals from ICT Industry, ICT industry bodies, related government bodies, individuals and organizations from Academia.
